I want to end the week on a high note and share a few highlights with some good news for our City!
Between a Regular Council Meeting and Public Hearing - Council made over 40 decisions this week alone - many were passing the recommendations from Council committees, like the Mass Transit Plan and Anti-Racism Strategy next steps, that I’ve previously highlighted.
Lots of rich discussions and items moving forward from committee meetings to next week’s packed Council meeting.
Another week flies by! A few highlights from my week were the community meetings with the Castle Downs Recreation Society, the Rossyln Community League, and the Crossroads Business Improvement Association.
Council had another packed week with a two-day Council meeting (Monday and Wednesday) and Public Hearing on Tuesday.
Hello! Here is the first weekly round up for 2022! This week Council was back in session and had three committee meetings: Community and Public Services, Urban Planning Committee, and Executive Committee.
I’m so proud of the budget that Council has passed. This budget reflects Council’s commitment to find balance by keeping tax increases as low as possible while ensuring we are providing the care and services that Edmontonians expect as we move forward together.

This week was another week of firsts - first budget public hearing, first budget deliberations, first ETS Advisory Board, and first Audit Committee. Every Friday my head swirls with all the new information I am taking in.
This weekend I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and continuing to read, read, read, in preparation for Council next week.
